After majoring in Psychology and Special Education, my career started in already established mainstream and special education programs. I created the self-contained classroom approach at Yeshiva Darchei Torah. Back in 2002, I was recruited by Agudath Israel to create the Ichud Girls High School Special Education Program.
Then, in 2009, I was approached by the board of Gesher Yehuda to help start Yeshiva Prep High School. We worked closely with Yeshiva of Flatbush to create opportunities for students from multiple educational backgrounds. In 2015, I became the full-time Principal for Gesher Yehuda Yeshiva. My greatest reward is seeing former students grow into productive adults.”
At Gesher Yehuda Yeshiva, we work with children with learning differences — bright children who struggle in a mainstream setting. We offer small, structured learning environments designed to meet individual needs. We are an academic program with highly trained special education teachers and therapists. Since 1994, our alumni have gone on to college, careers, and successful lives. All students deserve the education that best fits their needs.
