Miss Rusi Rubin

3rd Grade General Studies Teacher
“I believe every child is a unique individual and must be taught in a stimulating educational environment to reach his/her full potential. At Gesher Yehuda, every child’s abilities are taken into consideration when creating a curriculum to meet their needs.”

I began my career in 2016 as an associate teacher at Gesher Yehuda, while obtaining a Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College. After graduating with a Masters in Special Education from Daemen College, I became a classroom teacher at Gesher Yehuda.

I have a true passion for helping all children reach their potential. Helping each child progress in all areas of their development – academic, social, language, and behavior – is a challenge I am honored to accept daily. I believe that every student is capable of learning and growing. I see the value in allowing students the opportunity to see mistakes and imperfections as part of the process in growing. There are various types of learners and keeping every student excited and engaged about learning is essential. Creating an environment that students feel a part of, safe, welcomed, and supported involves students in their own learning.
